Closest to the NY Yankees, the next most successful team in MLB Baseball history is the St Louis Cardinals. The Cardinals, who compete in the National League, have been to the Title Game 17 times and won 10 times. The Cardinals most recently won the World Series in 2006 when they were led by first basemen Albert Pujols. The Cardinals had an incredible run of success between 1926 and 1934 when they went to the series 5 times winning 3. World Series History is incredible and during the years 1942 and 1946 St Louis won an additional three championships as they were led by Hall of Famer Stan Musial.
